Projects
- The Spy: A program that is designed to run hourly, scheduled by crontab in Unix environments and whatever on Windows machines. It runs through a list of URLs, listed hourly, pulling off 'n' lines out of the top and bottom of the page and running MD5 on data, looking for a change. If the page is change, that URL is dumped into a DBM file and, if there's an associated action, that action is run. The distillation of my MeatBall:StupidAgent concept. Poorly documented but ready for download here.
- JCN: I have to find a bacronym for that. This is an agent framework for Mozilla Firefox, using AJAX, Greasemonkey, and Mozilla sidebars. I will have to present on it, but the server software runs on CSociety, and I want to have it running on a Perl-based HTTP server on the localhost.
